Welcome to the CPET website

This website provides online information on how to meet the UK Government’s Timber Procurement Policy, the EU Timber Regulation and the Forest Law Enforcement Governance and Trade (FLEGT) Regulation. Central Point of Expertise on Timber Procurement (CPET) is funded by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, and is operated by Efeca as the lead delivery partner, contracted by Defra through the LTS managed FGMC consortium - a team with wide experience in advising on responsible purchasing.

The CPET website provides detailed information and advice on how public sector buyers and their suppliers can meet the UK Government’s timber procurement policy requirements in practice. In addition, we provide information here on our website for everyone involved in production, purchasing and trading of timber and timber-derived products on both the EU Timber Regulation (which became applicable as of March 2013) and the FLEGT regulation.
