This website provides online information and advice on meeting the UK Government’s Timber Procurement Policy. CPET is funded by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, and is operated by ProForest, an independent company with wide experience in responsible purchasing.

The Central Point of Expertise on Timber (CPET) is a service of the UK Government. CPET has been set up by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra), and is operated by ProForest, a company with wide experience in advising on responsible purchasing.
UK public procurement policy on timber
The UK Government's timber procurement policy requires Central government departments, their executive agencies and non-departmental public bodies only to procure timber and wood-derived products originating from either legal and sustainable or FLEGT licensed or equivalent sources. Local government is encouraged to comply.

This website provides online information on how to meet the UK Government’s Timber Procurement Policy, the EU Timber Regulation and the Forest Law Enforcement Governance and Trade (FLEGT) Regulation. Central Point of Expertise on Timber Procurement (CPET) is funded by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, and is operated by Efeca as the lead delivery partner, contracted by Defra through the LTS managed FGMC consortium - a team with wide experience in advising on responsible purchasing.
